Roaming Required’s Big List of New Experiences in London

Just for Fun

The Art of the Brick

Do you remember those birthdays when you were growing up when you were handed a wrapped rectangular box that rattled when you shook it? Your hopes probably soared as you had a pretty good, nah great, feeling about what was inside it. So you dove right in and tore the paper apart to reveal a new box of Lego, as a giant smile spread from ear to ear.

Those are the birthdays that I remember with fondness and the kid inside me hasn’t lost his love for Lego in the decades that have passed, which is exactly why The Art of the Brick exhibition that’s coming to London is right up my alley and why I’m adding it to our list of London Experiences.

The Art of the Brick T-Rex

The Art of the Brick has been on a world tour and after exhibitions in over 24 countries (and 100 cities), it’s now  London’s turn to experience over 150 Lego works of art that feature over 1 million individual bricks. If you listen really carefully, you can actually hear my inner child shouting with joy.

When I mentioned works of art, that’s exactly what I meant because during your visit you’ll see a recreated version of Michelangelo’s David, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, and Leonardo DaVinci’s Mona Lisa. If your inner child is crying out for something a little more fun  than artwork, then how about a 6 metre long T-Rex skeleton?!
